Queen Latifah started off wrong by doing an interview with “Upscale Magazine” — I mean really? Who reads that anymore?
I spotted Queen Latifah featured on the cover of Upscale Magazine’s May/June Issue over at my girl Necole Bitchie’s website. And at first I thought it was a cute interview…and then the more i read into it, the more annoyed I got so I had to do my own post….
Upscale: You’ve been asked so much about your sexuality. Wouldn’t it be easier at this point to just speak on it-once-and be done with it?
Queen: I don’t have to explain anything. I don’t have to confirm anything. Look, I need my time. I need my life.

The 2010 BET Awards Nominees, Host and Performers announcement took place yesterday in New York. Queen Latifah will host this year’s event. Sean “Diddy” Combs, pictured above, will undoubtedly be one of the show’s nominees…if not performers. Just what we need…more Diddy!
Politics and celebrity got together in D.C. this past weekend for the White House Correspondents Dinner at 1600 Penn. President Obama took the occasion to get his comedy on. Check video below…

Last night American Idol featured a special 2-hour charity performance event from American Idol season 9. It was also the latest American Idol elimination. The episode only included some of the featured performers due to the problems with the Volcano in Iceland and delayed flights across Europe. Among the Idol Gives back performers were Carrie Underwood, Jeff Beck, Black Eyed Peas and Joss Stone. The special was hosted by Queen Latifah and Elton John.
The lady that brought us “Cookout” and “Beauty Shop” is set to bring more mediocre programming to VH1! Has the Queen ever produced anything worthwhile?
VH1 has greenlighted a femme-centric telepic from Queen Latifah’s production company. The untitled movie is a comedic drama about female best friends with very different takes on relationships. Set in Atlanta, project centers on two twentysomething African-American women: Aspiring fashion mogul Val and former musicvideo dancer Keisha. Read the rest of this entry »
